This is our home. There are 2,595 of us living as neighbors here. And we want to rule ourselves.

The Front of Yonge Township is our local municipality. For this Our Town Hall revolution effort, it is our testing ground. It is our learning facility.

But we want to rule ourselves anyway.

Our neighbors have ideas. All kinds of them. We have chosen to work together to build our community with our own ideas. Our current politicians have not done anything creative for years. Most of us don’t even know their names.

It is revolution-time right here in Front of Yonge Township! We are going to build our ideas into great ideas together. And we will decide on which ideas we adopt and reject together through democratic vote. We all agree with the rules of democracy and we will be using the OurTownHall app to do it with.

We will test the app by doing this. We will make it better as we learn along the way. We are our own test site.

And we will set an example for all the other thousands of communities out there that want the freedom to rule themselves too.

OCTOBER 26, 2026

Our next local election is on October 26, 2026. We have five council members (1 Mayor, 4 Councillors). We are choosing our own candidates from among ourselves to run in all five Council positions.

All we need is a majority — and with that, we will be able to make the rule of the people and the decisions that they make together into law. Every one of our neighbors have ideas and we want to hear them. We want to discuss them, debate them and improve them. Together is how we will do that. The OurTownHall app is our tool to do it with.

And we will decide together on how our community evolves and grows.

We are going to campaign to win it. Five of us. We are going to offer everyone in our Township the opportunity to vote for themselves. For their own ideas. All we ask them to do is to show up and vote on October 26 and to register into the OurTownHall app to add their voices and ideas into the discussion.

And we only have one platform item that we are campaigning on: To put all the power into the hands of the people. The people themselves will decide on every other issue together as a community. The app will let them do just that. And it is our bet they will get every single issue right every single time.

Registration to be on the ballot starts on May 1. We will all go to Town Hall together to put in our nomination papers. We are running as a team. Not a political party — just a team to empower all democratic power to our neighbors. We will video record this event and post it - it should be interesting …
