It is time to change how we are governed.
Our Town Hall is a local democratic project beginning in The Front of Yonge Township in Eastern Ontario, Canada.
We believe government should work for the people — and that ideas should flow from citizens to political representatives, not the other way around.
The Plan
Run a full slate of candidates for all five Town Council positions: Mayor and four Councillors.
The candidates will be chosen by the people who live here.
People present ideas, discuss them, improve them, and vote. Majority rules. Council is obligated to make them happen.
Politicians do not have ideas — the people do.
The App
A democracy app where citizens can participate in governing with their neighbours — accessible 24/7 by phone or laptop and connected directly to Town Hall.
Our Township will lead by example. The app will be shareable with other communities.
